Associate Director

Job Description
- We are looking for an Associate Director to join our **Capital Structure & Rating Advisory (CSRA)** team. This role is an exciting opportunity to partner with Relationship Managers and Product Partners to provide priority corporate clients with expert insights on **capital structure, funding strategies, liquidity management, and risk mitigation**. You’ll play a key role in supporting origination efforts, offering strategic advice, and delivering client-focused solutions.
- Key Responsibilities

**Strategy & Business Development**
- Support the implementation of CSRA’s origination and execution strategy across **France and the broader European region**.
- Provide corporate and financial institution clients with **capital structure insights, credit rating advisory, and financial optimization strategies**.
- Assist in identifying client needs and structuring financial solutions, including **acquisition financing, working capital management, and rating optimization**.
- Stay up to date with **market trends, sector developments, and rating agency methodologies** to provide forward-thinking insights.

**Client & Deal Execution Support**
- Prepare **client-ready presentations** on key corporate finance topics under senior team members' supervision.
- Build and maintain **advanced financial models** to evaluate company financials and capital structure planning.
- Support origination and execution of **rating advisory mandates** and develop **sector-specific content** on credit rating trends.
- Assist in the preparation of **internal strategy materials** for key stakeholders.

**Risk & Governance**
- Maintain oversight of the **team’s work-in-progress files, client selection process, and origination pipeline**.
- Ensure **compliance with internal governance frameworks** and manage the **Conflict of Interest register**.
- Uphold the highest standards of **regulatory, reputational, and ethical conduct**.

**People & Talent**
- Lead by example and contribute to a **strong, collaborative, and client-focused culture**.
- Provide **coaching and support** to team members and colleagues across the business.
- Skills and Qualifications

**Skills & Expertise**
- **Strong analytical skills** with experience in financial analysis, credit ratings, and capital structure advisory.
- **Advanced financial modelling** skills in Excel, with the ability to assess complex corporate financials.
- **Proficiency in PowerPoint** to create impactful presentations for senior management and clients.
- **Excellent communication and interpersonal skills**, with the ability to present complex financial concepts in a clear and compelling way.
- **Knowledge of global banking products**, client relationship management, and corporate finance structuring.
- **Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment** and collaborate across teams.

**Qualifications**
- **Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field**.
- Prior experience in a **commercial or investment banking environment** with exposure to **capital structure advisory and credit rating processes**.
- Strong knowledge of **capital markets, treasury, and financial structuring**.
- Comfortable in an **advisory and structuring role**, with the ability to develop into a client-facing position.
