External Manufacturing Supply Planner

The External Manufacturing network has become a critically important part of Ipsen’s specialty care business due to a number of recent strategic acquisitions where products are supplied from CMOs.

**The External Manufacturing Supply Planner** is an important member of the External Manufacturing (EMO) & Global Supply Chain function, reporting to the External Manufacturing, Supply Chain Director. The role will plan, maintain, manage, and control the Supply Chain and Purchasing activities including planning, purchasing and goods receipt for Externally Manufactured products. Act as the point of contact of all transactional system update / capture on overall external manufacturing supply chain perimeter.

**Main responsibilities / job expectations**

**Routine planning activities**
- Create and maintain supply plans to meet service and stock objectives, considering supplier constraints (including short-, mid
- and long-term planning for capacity purposes)
- Manage Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) upstream stocks and plans through Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process or directly through the supply planning process.
- Validate supply plans through the internal S&OP process with Externally Manufacture Organization (EMO) department and external S&OP process with CMOs
- Ensure adequate stock level in Ipsen countries by managing supply plan from Central Distribution Hub to countries in coordination with Country Local Supply Chain and Customer Service departments

**Sales & Operations Planning Process**
- Responsible for managing the S&OP process for identified CMO products. This includes recommending producing and acting on the decisions from the internal and external S&OP process
- Define and measure Key Performance Indicators and create action plans to improve performance

**Internal Service Level Agreement & Supply master data management**
- In line with the inventory management process, regularly review and agree inventory policies with all affiliates and external suppliers
- Responsible for agreeing and maintaining planning parameters in systems including Minimum Order Quantities, Lead times, incremental orders volumes

**Supply Chain Execution**
- Manage the purchase order process for EMO products (place order, validate orders, issue orders, follow up on orders)
- Manage the goods receipt process for some EMO products and invoice management along with accounting department
- Coordinate phase-in & out of stock in the context of a variation & artwork change (issue, maintain and provide Bill of Materials report to External Manufacturer in alignment with orders placed)
- Monitor operational performance, identifying risks and issues through this process

**Supplier Issue resolution**
- Where appropriate, resolve supply challenges either directly or through co-ordination of cross functional teams
- Escalate issues rapidly through the management to resolve supply issues.

**Transaction activities**
- Support transactional activities in the system for the overall EMO portfolio and others senior planner’s perimeter including, but not limited to, PO’s placement, inventory good receipt, inventory transfer, inventory adjustments.
- Act as the point of contact for the team perimeter for any matters related to execution and transactional activities.

To be considered for this role, you will be educated to master’s degree / degree level with APICS Basics. At least 2 years’ experience in business preferably in supply chain operations with knowledge of planning systems and processes. Professional experience in an international multicultural environment. Negotiation and influencing skills through working with External Partners / CMOs.
