**About the Role**

As a Principal Engineer at Ogury, you will be a key player in shaping the backend architecture and development processes. You will lead a talented team of backend and full stack software engineers, leveraging your expertise to build scalable and efficient large-scale distributed systems. **What you will be doing**:

- Lead the design, development, and optimization of robust and large scale distributed systems, improving infrastructure and microservices.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to evolve the architecture behind Ogury’s AdTech products.
- We're looking for engineers who bring fresh ideas from all areas, including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking and data storage, security, the list goes on and is growing every day.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in AdTech to drive continuous improvement in our solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the engineers that work on our delivery stack and other parts of our transactional processing stacks.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards for maintaining high-quality backend code.
- Identify and implement strategies for optimizing backend performance to ensure efficient and low-latency data processing and delivery.
- Work on improving system reliability and scalability to meet the demands of our dynamic AdTech environment.
- Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration between the frontend and backend systems.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative engineering culture within the team.
- Facilitate alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines.

**About you**:

- Strong experience in backend development and demonstrated success developing in Golang and Scala.
- Provide technical leadership on high-impact projects.
- Influence and coach a distributed team of engineers.
