**The Role**

Working as a the head of the Business Finance Partner of France for the Corporate Risk & Broking business areas, the Finance Business Partner will support the business leaders in their commercial decision making, managing financial performance and help shape future business strategies. Corporate Risk and Broking is a part of the France Cluster cluster and will report into the head of business finance partner for the cluster.

Using financial knowledge relevant to the business the Finance Business Partner will provide financial analysis and advice to business. Key will be to focus not only on historical information but also on forward looking information.

**Provide financial partnering to the key internal business stakeholders in terms of**:

- Ongoing strategic business projects, including assistance with financial modelling
- Annual budget preparation
- Management of month-end process with focus on revenue
- Preparation and commentary of standard monthly management reports
- Preparation and review/commentary of actual performance against budget and prior year
- Review of expense accruals/prepayments, accrued and deferred revenue
- Monthly forecasting (incl. preparation of future staff cost projections)
- Identification of future risks and opportunities
- Assisting in preparation of Quarterly Business Review templates
- Assist in preparation of contingency plansAd-hoc requests from the business and problem solving

**Supporting the Financial Reporting and Control team in terms of**:

- Various Month-end reporting including revenue and investments etc.
- Providing an update in terms of any business-related issues/developments/projects

**Working with other team members in terms of**:

- Development of an excellent in-depth working relationship with all key business stakeholders
- Collaboration, sharing of knowledge, and facilitation training across other areas
- Engagement, coaching and mentoring Finance Business Partner Support
- Establishment of a positive work environment.

**The Requirements**
- Be in office 3-4 days a week, i.e. to sit with and be part of the business
- Exceptional commercial acumen - understanding of the key business revenue & Profit & Loss drivers
- Strong financial knowledge - with 5+ years of experience in business finance
- Excellent interpersonal skills - ability to develop strong working relationships with the business
- Team player - willing to pass on their experience and work closely with the wider finance team
- Pro-active - ability to use initiative, self-starting, ability to prioritise and deliver within deadlines
- Passionate - to make a difference and to “add value” to the business owning the numbers
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail
- Detail-oriented with ability to prioritise and organise workflow
- Highly computer literate with superior skills in Microsoft Excel, and a knowledge of accounting packages e.g., Oracle E-Business Suite, Hyperion, etc.
