MISSION
To improve a country's supply chain costs by defining strategies and managing the Local Purchasing Area.
GENERAL FUNCTIONS
Ensure fulfillment of the corporate purchasing strategy in the local area for which he/she is responsible, and reach the quality, costs, terms, service and technical support objectives established in business plans.
Ensure compliance with the purchasing budget in the responsibility area in question.
Monitor local purchasing objectives, aligned with corporate and local objectives.
Take part in defining the suppliers optimum panel and take responsibility for its execution.
Ensure all assignment processes are presented to the Assignment Committees.
Ensure fulfillment of the Purchasing function in all the FDS (Ficosa Development System) stages.
Represent the Purchasing function in the projects linked to improvement teams (e.g., stocks reduction, suppliers’ panel reduction, charges administration, supplier quality, etc.).
Lead the Suppliers Performance Review meetings.
Participate in the Savings Opportunity List (SOL) and ensure its actions are carried out.
Act as a representative for the Purchasing function at local Direction Committees.
Observe Ficosa’s Code of Ethics to avoid fraudulent practices. Comply with Information Security Management System (ISMS) applicable to the job, along with the training related thereto.
Lead the team, guaranteeing its effectiveness, development and motivation, fostering Ficosa's values.
Provide the team with the necessary means to comply with OHSE rules, ensuring they are properly used.
Actively cooperate in maintaining, promoting and improving the OHSE and Quality department.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
**Academic background**:
Bachelor’s degree, mainly in engineering or business administration
**Languages**:
Fluent local language & Fluent English (spoken and written)
**Experience**:
Minimum of 3 years as a senior buyer or in management position
OTHER SPECIFICATIONS
**Additional training**:
Specialized in Purchasing or negotiation would be of additional value
