**Description** Global Category Manager responsible for "iron casting" category (desirable aluminium knowledge) **Job Purpose**: Define, communicate and deploy the global purchasing strategy for his/her category Manage sourcing activities and ensure commercial supplier performance Provide market intelligence and manage supply base **Key Activities**: **Manage global category strategy**: - Define and build purchasing strategy for her/his category - Deploy strategy and objectives in the regions - Lead the elaboration of new ideas of savings with the team, ensure the execution of these ideas **Panel management - commercial supplier performance** - Identify new suppliers, innovations,scout the market globally - Develop and optimize global supplier panel - Build long-term relationship with suppliers - Lead projects to optimize supplier performance - Maintain and develop supplier networking globally - Negotiate with key account suppliers (contracts,) - In charge of suppliers selection process in her/his respective category **Support plants** - Support facilities in case of escalation requested **Team Management** - Foster a climate of teamwork and motivation within the team by encouraging entrepreneurship mindset, professional development and growth of employees (assessment, training, coaching and mentoring). - Ensure the deployment of the company communication to the team - Ensure appropriate work environment for the team **Profile**: **Key Professional Competencies** - Business & Finance acumen - Solid negotiation skills - Deep knowledge of purchasing and lean manufacturing in Automotive industry - Knowledge of the category and of supplier environment - Ability to work in a multicultural environment - Team Management - Fluent English level **Key Personal Competencies** - Strategy Understanding & Roll-out - Ownership & Accountability - Collaboration & Teamwork - Influence & Persuasion - Communication & Presentation **Qualification & Experience** - Bachelor/Master degree in Engineering, Business studies or equivalent - Strong experience in purchasing or any commercial area
