MySQL is the most popular database in the world, deployed in companies of all sizes. The role will focus on selling the use of MySQL to 3 of our largest customers. We have solid technology, pricing, and a go-to-market model, which makes this role challenging and fun

We're looking for a Senior Sales Director who will be responsible for MySQL software sales within 3 of our largest customers: Ericsson, Siemens and Nokia to serve their business and internal IT needs. This role reports to the MySQL Sales Director in EMEA.

Primary responsibility will be to drive and expand sales of the MySQL products to these accounts.

**You will**:

- Develop MySQL Sales opportunities and maintain customer relationships in target accounts.
- Close business to meet quarterly and annual business objectives
- Promote and evangelize MySQL products
- Meet with senior customers’ contacts to build credibility and develop lasting relationships
- Develop and execute a sales plan in target accounts
- Maintain up-to-date competitive information
- Engage with Pre-sales, technical support and other Oracle stakeholders to develop customer discussions further
- Lead successful go-to-market campaigns by working closely with internal marketing specialists
- Contribute and lead in account planning, customer/market analysis, and strategy sessions
- Provide timely and accurate reporting as requested
- Maintain an accurate forecast and pipeline of potential deals

- 7+ years selling software or IT services
- 5+ years selling and account relationship management experience with major accounts
- Successful track record of consistent achievement of revenue objectives
- Ability to managing sales cycles end to end
- Successful track record of business/account plan development and execution.
- Prior experience with open source software business will be a plus
- Prior experience in the telecom industry will be a plus
- German or Swedish knowledge is a plus

**Detailed Description and Job Requirements**

Sells a subset of product or services directly or via partners to a large number of named accounts/non-named accounts/geographical territory (mainly Tier 3 accounts).

Primary job duty is to sell technology software products and related services in a defined territory. Identifies, qualifies and closes new opportunities. Manages accounts including the entire sales process from business development prospecting and specifications through contract negotiations, signing, and post-sales support. Leverages the Oracle sales model to maximize revenue growth and increase local market share. Builds and expands business partner revenue and self sufficiency.
