WHY WE ARE HIRING:
The Engineering Director is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing and managing an independent development center in France. This position combines high-level strategic, operational, and technical leadership, with an added focus on regional responsibility. Besides, you will work in a daily concert with our Chief IP Engineering Officer, Simon Bewick.

YOUR CORE RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

- Regional Leadership:
- Serve as the primary leader for the French development center, representing the organization at the local level.
- Develop and execute strategies to ensure the center’s alignment with company-wide goals.
- Oversee the center’s operations, including resource allocation, budgeting, and local compliance.
- Team Management:
- Lead multiple engineering teams or large, cross-functional groups, ensuring high performance and collaboration.
- Recruit, develop, and retain top talent, fostering a strong, inclusive, and innovative culture.
- Conduct team reviews, manage performance, and make decisions on compensation and promotions in alignment with organizational policies.
- Technical Oversight:
- Provide leadership in critical technical decisions, ensuring alignment with global engineering standards and strategies.
- Oversee the successful delivery of complex, high-impact technical projects from the development center.
- Encourage innovation and best practices in technology and processes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with senior leaders, product management, and other regional centers to align technical roadmaps with business objectives.
- Act as a regional liaison, ensuring smooth communication and alignment between the center and other teams.
- Strategic Impact:
- Define and implement long-term growth strategies for the French development center, enhancing its contribution to the organization.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and regional innovation.
- Support organizational goals by driving key initiatives and aligning center capabilities with business needs.

**Requirements**:
YOU NEED TO POSSESS THE FOLLOWING KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 12+ years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.
- Proven ability to manage large, independent engineering operations, including budget and resource management.
- Strong technical background in relevant domains (e.g., chip design, software engineering, EDA systems).
- Excellent strategic thinking and decision-making skills, particularly in balancing technical and operational demands.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills
