About the Role
We are seeking our Lab Operations Lead to oversee and coordinate all stages of medical biology sampling, in close collaboration with healthcare teams and external partners. As the Zoī protocol includes a wide gamut of medical sampling, this role will be equally broad in its remit, requiring high-level strategy and operational interfacing with a diversity of laboratories and stakeholders. You will be responsible for maintaining strong partnerships with our current portfolio of laboratories and establishing new ones as we continue to expand in Europe and the US. This role is central to maintaining ZoĪ's commitment to quality standards, while ensuring a cost-effective and time
- sensitive approach.
Main Missions
**Supervise and Coordinate Medical Biology Sampling**: Oversee all aspects of medical biology sampling processes, working closely with healthcare teams and external partners to ensure efficient and seamless operations
**Establish and Maintain Partnerships**: Build and sustain solid relationships with external laboratories to secure the execution of medical biology analyses at the best cost, within set timelines, and adhering to high-quality standards
**Strategic Cost and Quality Optimization**: Propose strategies aimed at optimizing the cost and quality of analyses, including the setup of Zoī-owned laboratories to enhance control and efficiency
**Performance Analysis and Reporting**: Regularly analyze and report on partner performance, analysis turnaround times, and end-user satisfaction to ensure service excellence
**Procedures for Sample Collection, Transport, and Management**: Implement and oversee procedures for the collection, transport, and management of biological samples, ensuring their integrity and traceability throughout the process
**Quality Standards and Best Practices**: Ensure the highest quality standards (ISO, CAP, etc.) and best practices in sampling are applied, driving continuous improvement processes to maintain excellence
Strong background in medical biology, lab operations, or a related field.
Proven experience in managing partnerships with external laboratories.
Familiarity with quality standards (ISO, CAP, etc.) and best practices in medical biology.
Strategic thinker with the ability to propose cost and quality optimization strategies.
Exceptional quantitative analysis and data skills to establish and maintain performance dashboards
Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a focus on detail and process improvement
