**Application Engineer Earthworks - Europe**
In Kennametal we are looking for a professional to join us as Application Engineer for our Earthworks clients in the European region. You will provide service to construction, trenching, road milling and mining customers mainly.
Your home base could be in many locations, especially in the UK, Poland, Spain or Italy as you will work with different clients mainly located in these countries, but you will also visit clients in other European countries.
Apart from fluency in English and in local language, you should have upper-intermediate German language skills, as you will develop and grow partnerships with customer engineering and manufacturing management personnel.
Outlined Responsibilities
- Expand sales to customers by identifying additional technical needs and direct activities associated with the Kennametal product to meet those needs.
- Offer input on competitor service offerings and changing customer demands. Report to sales team on direct customers and distributors opportunities, as well on competitor activities.
- Perform analysis of a complex nature and develop recommendations in support of achieving business objectives.
- May oversee work of Technical/Professional or Admin/Support type roles.
**Requirements**:
- Fluent in English and upper-intermediate in German is necessary
- At least 1 year of experience working with earthworks companies
- Minimum 2 years of total working experience
- Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or Business degree
- Creativity, Flexibility and Innovative
- Ability to conceive, develop and implement new ideas and concepts
- Ability to discuss with Kennametal management customer needs and requirements
- Intercultural competency and experience with international clients
- Willingness to travel abroad (75% in different European countries, mainly the UK, Spain, Poland and Italy)
