OverviewField Applications Engineer role at Texas Instruments. Upon successful completion of the FAST development program, rotators are welcomed as Field Application Engineer on TI's worldwide Sales & Applications team.What you will doAct as a technical consultant to solve design challenges with the TI portfolio and become a trusted advisor for customers.Understand the basics of analog circuitry (op-amps, DC/DC power, data converters, sensing, etc.).Build knowledge in customers applications and relevant TI portfolio to propose system-level solutions that maximize TI revenue.Create and understand block diagrams based on customer applications (examples: EV charging, Heat Pump, Head-Up Display).Develop relationships with customers, focusing on the engineering department.Leverage market knowledge and data insights to discover business opportunities and independently develop creative ways to identify new opportunities.FAST Development ProgramYour start as a Field Applications Engineer (FAE) will be through the 12-month FAST Development Program, which prepares FAEs as technical experts with hands-on experience and mentoring. The program includes four rotations:Rotation 1 (5 months) – Local sales office (France): learn customer interaction and resolving technical challenges at the customer site, focusing on system-level technical advice and component selection considering design and cost.Rotation 2 (3 months) – Mass-Market Team (France): use data-driven solutions and automation to optimize sales and scale measures; develop hybrid sales techniques and digital customer relationships; build independent decision-making and direct customer communication.Rotation 3 (3 months) – Systems Engineering & Marketing (SEM) team, Freising, Germany: gain hands-on experience with product & PCB layouts, production processes, circuit development, and testing/validation; location typically at the EMEA headquarters.Rotation 4 (1 month) – Dallas, USA: gain exposure to TI headquarters, build a multi-level network with stakeholders in support functions, BU, and Systems Engineering, and learn to utilize TI resources.Note: Texas Instruments will not sponsor visa or work authorization for this position.QualificationsMinimum requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or related fieldFluent in local language and English (written and spoken)Basic understanding of schematics, layouts, and digital componentsKnowledge of analog circuitry (examples include: op-amps, DC/DC power, data converters, sensing)Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes), soldering, and debuggingPreferred Qualifications:Programming skills in C/C++ (LabVIEW recommended)Strong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work in teams and collaborate across functionsStrong time management and ability to deliver on timeAbility to build lasting, influential relationshipsAdaptability to fast-paced and changing environmentsInitiative and drive for results; ability to influence decisions with a sense of urgencyAbout TIWhy TI?We empower employees to own their career and development.
