To achieve unprecedented scale, quality, and market impact, we're creating a crucial new position — our inaugural Engineering Manager.

You will lead the **Application team**, alongside with our Senior Product Manager, currently composed of:

- **Backend**: 1 lead, 3 developers
- **Mobile**: 1 lead, 2 developers
- **QA**: 1
- **Product Manager**: 1
- **Designers**: 2

Your main mission will involve championing project execution, empowering team leaders and individual contributors, as well as ensuring the team's work advances product objectives with purpose and impact.

**As the inaugural Engineering Manager, you will**:
**Bridge Essential Leadership**:
The CTO oversees engineering with support from recently appointed tech leads who focus on technical excellence rather than people development. You will be the first dedicated manager, bringing organization, cadence and guidance to the team, allowing tech leads to focus on their strength: technology.

**Shape the Tech Department's Evolution**:
You'll work closely with leadership to redefine team responsibilities, delivery methodologies, and performance standards across our Backend, Data, and Application teams — creating the framework for sustainable growth and exceptional results.

**Cultivate Excellence**:
You'll implement comprehensive QA practices, enhance our release workflows, and ensure dependability and uniformity across our products, from AI to app delivery.

**Strengthen Team Connections**:
Help deepen the Product-Tech relationship, building a unified culture focused on impact, delivery, and quality. You'll ensure product objectives translate into technical execution — keeping engineering tightly aligned with customer value.

**What we're looking for**:
**Experience & Management**:

- Proven software engineering experience with at least 3+ years as Engineering Manager (we can discuss flexibility) in startup/scale-up environments.
- Track record managing teams of 5+ developers, including lead developers.
- Focused on pure management responsibilities without coding duties.
- Demonstrated successful collaboration with Product Management teams.

**Technical Background**:

- Proven experience in technically demanding environments addressing scale, optimization, performance, and observability challenges.
- Demonstrated success handling scaling challenges either as Engineering Manager or individual contributor.
- Strong backend foundation (Python expertise preferred).
- Experience with or enthusiasm for implementing GenAI solutions in development workflows.
