Your Mission Shape the Roadmap Translate product vision and business priorities into clear engineering goals. Prioritise effectively and align the team around high-impact initiatives. Lead by Example Stay technically hands‑on where it matters — reviewing critical PRs, guiding architecture discussions, and unblocking complex challenges. Set the technical direction and raise the standard for excellence. Coach and Develop Talent Mentor engineers through feedback, goal‑setting, and structured growth paths. Build a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous learning. Drive Delivery Partner with Product to plan sprints, scope features, and manage trade‑offs between speed and quality. Ensure predictable, high‑quality delivery across all projects. Balance Innovation and Stability Champion clean, scalable architecture while driving down tech debt. Build strong foundations that enable fast, sustainable growth. Elevate Engineering Culture Push for smarter tools, better processes, and sharper execution. Foster cross‑functional collaboration that accelerates innovation. Who you are You have 4+ years of engineering management experience, with a proven track record of building and leading high‑performing teams. You have a strong technical foundation — capable of guiding deep architectural discussions and making sound trade‑offs. You’re product‑driven — you think about impact, user outcomes, and business value before lines of code. You’re an excellent communicator who brings clarity and alignment across teams. You thrive in fast‑paced, high‑intensity environments where ownership is everything. Your Skills 3+ years of hands‑on experience coding in Python or another OOP language. Deep understanding of backend architecture, microservices, REST APIs, and performance optimisation. Strong experience with PostgreSQL, data modelling, and query optimisation. Confident using Git and CI/CD pipelines in modern development workflows. Familiarity with serverless infrastructure (AWS), event‑driven systems, and containerisation is a plus. Experience in B2B SaaS, ERP, or BaaS integrations is highly desirable.
