Are you a passionate plant epigeneticist with a strong bioinformatics background? Thalya is seeking a talented individual to join our cutting-edge research team. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to our groundbreaking research on nitrate assimilation in corn. This role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of plant nutrition research using state-of-the-art technologies. You will have the potential to take on leadership responsibilities and contribute to the growth of the company.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with bioinformaticians to analyze complex datasets
- Employ silencing techniques such as VIGS and SIGS and gene editing techniques such as CRISPR/Cas9 for functional characterizations
- Conduct detailed plant phenotypic analysis (imaging, molecular biology)
- Effectively communicate research results to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Lead projects and mentor junior researchers
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in plant genetics and molecular biology

**Qualifications**:

- PhD in Plant Biology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, or a related field
- Strong background in plant nutrition
- Expertise in RNA sequencing and bioinformatics analysis
- Experience in molecular biology techniques (e.g., cloning, PCR, qPCR, western blotting)
- Experience in gene editing techniques (e.g., CRISPR/Cas9)
- Proficiency with plant transformation techniques (transitory, permanent)
- Silencing techniques (VIGS, HIGS, SIGS)
- Excellent data analysis and data visualization
- Strong communication, problem-solving skills and interpersonal skills
- Experience in project management and team leadership
