We are looking for our next Middle Officer (H/F). This position will be located in La Madeleine (near Lille).

Role:
The Middle Officer position aims at:
- Ensuring the accuracy of all new inputs in the Front to Back system and managing the technical and administrative tasks related to the dealing of the financial derivatives in the system.- Verifying and analyzing portfolios, Valuing and reporting positions.- Providing accurate information and reporting to each internal and external stakeholder (Including regulatory bodies).- Back-up on Back-officer missions including portfolios reconciliations and reportings.

Middle-office missions cover the entire perimeter of instruments and underlying currently or historically used by the Group on Financial Markets such as FX, Commodities (mainly cereals), Energy, Interest Rates.

You will be responsible for:
The Middle officer will be the main contact with accounting department ensuring communication of monthly accurate information. The role is including but not limited to following key accountabilities:
Portfolio calculation:
- In charge of recording daily market data in the system.- In charge of daily valuation (MTM) of each alive financial derivative.- In charge of daily calculation of each portfolio delta’s position (i.e. portfolio’s valuation sensibility to the market movements).- Calculation and validation of settlement amounts in line with trade confirmation characteristics and communication to external and internal counterparties.

IT Systems Administration, Evolutions and Development:
- Administration of Front to Back system including configuration of portfolios, underlyings, companies and counterparties.- Ensuring respect of procedures and internal controls in the Front to Back System.- Monitoring the evolution of existing Market Risk and Control IT tools, including specification, development & testing.- Proposing and participation in the development of new automatization tools.

Enhancing the reliability of financial communications:
- Participating in identification and justification of the accounting impact of derivatives instruments.- Assistance in setting up hedging operations with the Risk Management and Front Office (Input in the system, MtM valuation, accounting treatment).- Monitoring standards and regulations related to raw materials, energy and FX (IFRS9).

Reporting & Compliance:
- Preparing reporting to local stakeholders (ex: RF Raw material purchasing team).- Preparing monthly MTM reporting provided to concerned entities including IFRS hedge accounting treatment.- Ensuring that positions are in line with the limit framework.- Providing qualitative and quantitative analysis on financial related matters including:
- Portfolio variations explanations- Valuation calculations models- In the closing period, summarizing transactions carried out, associated impacts and open positions.- Analyzing and communication of monthly financial results, as well as valuations as part of accounting closings.- Participation to regular reviews of processes and workflows and ensuring their proper documentation.- Participation in the set up and optimization of Middle Office reports.

Back up on the Back Office tasks including:
- Portfolio reconciliation.- Trade confirmation and transaction settlement.- Production and communication of internal transactions confirmation, and validation of external ones.

What will we love about you ?- Master's degree in finance or business school.
Approximately 5 years of experience in a similar position- Good knowledge of financial instruments accounting (IFRS standards).
