MAS Seeds is a subsidiary of Cooperative Maïsadour which regroups more than 4800 members.

**MAS Seeds is looking for a Product development operation head in Mexico** to coordinate and develop its two stations of San Juan de Abajo, Nayarit, and Queretaro.

MAS Seeds has been breeding Corn and Sunflower for 40 years, and since 5 years start its transition of R&D program to speed up and integrate all new breeding technologies in its process. We believe in the power of breeding to adapt varieties to climate change and a more environmentally friendly agriculture.

Mexico RD stations are fully integrated in the deployment of the new MAS SEEDS strategy. As a R&D HUB, San Juan del Abajo will be dedicated to produce in winter seeds for all our RD programs (corn and sunflower). A strong link will be developed between Queretaro station (hosting the tropical corn program) and San Juan de Abajo, to produce 3 generations a year in Mexico and to develop MAS seeds DH operations.

**Your main mission** will be to lead local teams in both stations and successfully implement and continuously improve RD operations respecting safety rules, produce in quantity, quality, and on time. Based in San Juan de Abajo, you will be responsible directly of the project to build our new RD station.

The position is considered as a permanent full-time job.

You will have the responsibilities to:

- Lead & manage the whole R&D operation team (permanent & temporary people) in San Juan de Abajo and Queretaro to ensure the good execution of the Seasonal plan of activities, in Quantity and Quality, at the right cost and on time.
- Compile all the seasonal planning for the whole activities (Internal/External) managed in winter and summer season for Corn (Temperate/tropical) & Sunflower product development programs (MEX, CHILE, ARGENTINA)
- Set up and manage an operational R&D Budget accordingly.
- For the next 24 months lead the MAS Seeds scale up project in MEX, including the construction of the new facility in San Juan de Abajo.
- Plan, set-up and lead all necessary rituals (daily, weekly and monthly) with your local team and stakeholders to supervise and support the execution of activities.
- As a manager you will coach and develop your people to build a strong and effective R&D operation team.
- Co build with your stakeholders (e.g: Product development teams) a Long Term Planning, then propose and manage accordingly the OPEX and CAPEX planning.
- Responsible for the good execution of MAS seeds R&D winter production plan managed by external subcontractors in countries such as Mexico, Chili, Argentina: contracting and supervising with his team the seasonal execution of the activities.
- Participate and ensure all administrative and legal tasks in your perimeter.
- Fully responsible for HSE and Compliance guidelines execution.
- Co-lead, with peers, operations continuous improvement, creating a powerful and efficient link between the 2 stations

Position located in our R&D Station near San Juan de Abajo, Nayarit (Mexico)

Regular travel to Queretaro,(Mexico) during season

**Profil**:

- You have several years of experience in an international breeding seed company or any agronomic company.
- You have a good knowledge of crop production, seed and farming practices.
- You have good Project Management skills
- You have team leadership skills including excellent coaching and organization skills.
- You have social competencies to understand, influence and motivate through leadership.
- You have an excellent communication skill, both written and oral. Ability to communicate across functions and at various management levels internally and externally.
