**Campus Construction Director - Data Centre Projects - Paris**
Are you a Campus Construction Director looking for your next contract assignment? Our client, one of the top 4 hyperscale data centre providers across the globe, needs the expertise of a Campus Construction Director for their current European projects.
With a global footprint over 5 continents and 60 countries, this is an exciting opportunity to join a truly international organisation responsible for providing some of the world’s most recognisable scalable data centres. This forward-thinking data centre provider has plans to double the number of facilities in the EMEA region by 2025.
This is an opportunity for you to work client-side with an ambitious organisation in the data centre market.
**What you will do**:
- Be accountable for strategic planning and execution of Data Centre construction, fit-out, and infrastructure projects, at the respective site(s)
- Develop and foster a strong sense of ownership within the project delivery team and GDC peer stakeholders to drive and maintain industry best practice standards across the campus
- Manage the coordination between multiple General Contractors, OFCI vendors, Operations, utility providers, 3rd party works and the public where necessary
- Drive close stakeholder alignment with the Commercial, Operations and Commissioning Teams, creating a positive and transparent working environment
- Collaborate with peers in Design and Engineering to ensure regulatory and permitting requirements are clearly defined, planned, and executed
- Clearly outline, define and execute construction methodologies from inception to handover on site, continuously seeking and implementing opportunities to learn and improve the end-to-end delivery
- Hold effective project reviews during or post-delivery to ensure lessons learned are captured and addressed
- Collaborate with your peers across EMEA to continually assess, align on and improve the delivery methodology
**What we are looking for**:
- Have several years’ experience in a site-based management role within a mission critical construction industry, overseeing multiple concurrent capex projects
- Have extensive experience in the planning and delivery of large capex projects, varying delivery methods (Management Contracting, Traditional, D&B) and forms of contract (i.e. FIDIC, JCT)
- Demonstrate Data Centre and/or mission critical construction experience
- Possess excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to navigate complex and high-pressure environments
- Proficient in the use of project and commercial management tools and processes
- Proficient in construction contract management
- Clear understanding of construction design stages and deliverables
- Client-side experience is preferable
- Have experience in presenting to senior leadership both internally and within the Clients Teams
- Have experience in managing and developing direct and vendor teams
- Excellent project management experience and skillset, with the ability to operate within a multi-cultural environment
- Business fluent in English, in consideration to the respective site, local language is required at a certain level
