**About the Opportunity**:
We are looking for a dynamic and proactive **Regional Category Manager CAPEX, Europe**to join our Indirect Procurement team.

In this key role, you will be responsible for managing CAPEX Procurement pipeline, requirements and spends for your region, ensuring that contracts are executed on time according to company policies and TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) is optimized.

The position will report to the Head of Procurement, CAPEX and can be based out of any of our locations in France.

**K**ey responsibilities**:

- Manage Contracting step for the assigned projects, which include the following tasks:

- Build Procurement Strategy.
- Work with Project Manager in Procurement planning.
- Source to contract for key Equipment/Services.
- Claim Management.
- Review deviations from standard T&Cs with Manager and/or Legal business partner and other relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure contracts compliance with Ahlstrom policies.
- Deliver Cost Reductions/ Cost Avoidance according to Corporate Procurement targets for assigned categories/ Key suppliers: Accountable for consistency of reporting activity in AMTrack within assigned categories
- Deliver value to businesses other than cost reduction: TCO (improved service, simplification )
- Leverage the CAPEX pipeline to secure Procurement synergies and secure Procurement resources
- Build, develop and maintain a network of stakeholders within Ahlstrom
- Map key stakeholders relevant for the category and build a strong relationship.
- Develop ways of working with local buyers, regional Category Managers and heads of regions.
- Manage relationship with Key Suppliers for the CAPEX category
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic procurement and category management, leadership experience is a plus.
- Negotiating: Possesses the ability to negotiate in tough situations with both internal and external contacts
- Strategic Agility: Deploys solid skills with evaluating market fundamentals, understanding categories technically, assessing business needs and can create competitive strategies accordingly
- Organizational Agility: Understands the organizations structure and can succinctly identify the path to glean input and support to achieve business results.
- Drive for Results: Deploys ambition in setting key objectives and is driven to exceed targets consistently
- Open and active communication: Understands the importance in identifying key stakeholders and naturally develops a proactive communication process
- Leadership skills
- Fluency in English
- Acting responsibly and ethically

This position requires travelling to different AM locations and to supplier meetings, fairs, trade shows.
