**Role Description**: Network Integration Engineer reporting to Director, Cable Edge Lab & Qualification

**What you will be doing**:

- Support activities for CableOS client lab integration, testing, qualifications, and field trials
- Communicate with marketing, engineering, and sales team about client expectations
- Responsible for testing new software and hardware; report and track defects to engineering
- Design, execute, and lead client field trials
- Train clients on the operation and troubleshooting of the CableOS system
- Train field service team on the operations and troubleshooting of CableOS system and any new features that are supported
- Assist with deployments and technical support as needed
- Assist with supporting customers in conjunction with Harmonic’s 24/7 Technical Assistance Centre (TAC), as required.
- Investigate, diagnose and resolve Customer issues on site in a timely manner and if needed escalate problems for assistance.

Desired Skills & Experience_**
- Bachelor’s in computer science, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications or equivalent;
- 7+ years direct experience in networking systems hardware and software design and troubleshooting.
- Strong expertise in IP network switching and routing protocols, TCP/IP stack
- Ability to understand technical documentation including Software/Hardware Configuration Guides, schematics, work instructions, test procedures, etc.
- Problem solving, analytical and communications skills.

**_ Strong pluses_**
- Experience in configuration and administration of Linux-based servers
- Preferred understanding / knowledge of DOCSIS, DVB/ATSC, CMTS configuration and troubleshooting

**Travel**:
This position requires frequent travel of short duration at customer’s place, often at short notice.

Trainings can take place in Harmonic’s sites around the world.
