**ROLE OVERVIEW**
Reporting to the Lab Operations Manager, the **Lab Operations Associate**at Spartners by Servier & Biolabs, located in Gif-sur-Yvette (France), assists in the routine maintenance of a shared laboratory facility while responding to laboratory
- and facility-related requests from resident companies and other staff members. This position offers an excellent opportunity to support promising startups in their early years and gain hands-on laboratory management skills in a state-of-the-art facility.
This is a 5-month fixed-term contract (CDD) from April to August 2025.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Assist in the management of the incubator's laboratory spaces - respond to resident inquiries; help place consumable orders for the site and restock; ensure all spaces and infrastructure are clean, tidy and in good condition; receive residents' parcels.
- Participate in the management of laboratory equipment - help with installation, set-up, preventive maintenance, cleaning, and decontamination; ensure proper use (staff training); contribute to the development, implementation and updating of equipment use and maintenance procedures.
- Onboard / offboard residents and companies - provide lab safety training, risk prevention, laboratory protocols, and set up laboratory spaces for the arrival and departure of companies
- Assist the HSE referent and ensure compliance with procedures in accordance with site policy.
- Participate in waste management activities in accordance with BioLabs regulations and policies.
- Assist in maintaining all chemical reagent inventories and MSDS databases.
- Provide excellent customer service with attention to detail.
- Other site projects needed.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- At least six (6) months' experience in a laboratory environment, experience in equipment cleaning and maintenance, chemical and biological waste management.
- Bac +2/3 in life sciences, preferably in biology/chemistry or genetics.
- Organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects, manage inventory and place orders.
- English and French language skills.
- Customer service skills with an excellent work ethic and an optimistic attitude.
- Detail-oriented with specific attention to quality control and a commitment to excellence.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Willing to work in a team-oriented environment.
