**_Job Summary_**
- SMSI is seeking experienced Risk Specialists/Managers to support an exciting project in southern France. The Risk Specialist/Manager will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks related to construction of an EPC megaproject. The position is onsite in Southern France and requires a minimum of one year commitment (no exceptions).

**_The projected start date for this project is December 2025._**

**_Skills/Responsibilities_**
- Develop, review, and improvement of the project risk management program.
- Undertake end-to-end project risk management for the project. Risk reviews shall be undertaken at regular intervals, with identified risks qualitatively and quantitatively analyzed, mitigation strategies determined, and project risk profiles monitored and reported.
- Quantitative cost and schedule risk analysis (Monte Carlo simulation) is to be undertaken. Results will be used in risk evaluation, monitoring and reporting against project baseline cost and schedule.
- Work proactively and collaboratively with the project control team to eliminate redundancies and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Provide opportunities to facilitate the transfer of knowledge to the greater project team. The transfer of knowledge may include informal one-one-one discussions and more formal presentations.
- Review and hold Lesson Learned workshops to improve risk identification and mitigation.
- Ensure Project Managers have a Risk Register that identifies specific risks for their respective scopes of work. Develop and manage a Risk Response Plan for each risk.
- Work with Project Managers to identify, analyze, prioritize, assign owners & monitor risks that could impact the project. Understand the probability and impact of each risk.
- Identify and track project opportunities/positive project risks.
- Support decision making, provide project managers with information to help them make informed decisions.
- Work with estimating teams to quantify risks and associated class of estimate.
- Communicate with the project stakeholders about project risks, response plans and how risks and opportunities are being managed.
- Communicate with the project stakeholders the current Expected Monetary Value (EMV) of the project Risk Register.

**_Requirements_**
- 10+ years of experience in risk management.
- Previous nuclear construction experience preferred.
- AACE or PMI certification is a plus.
- A current passport is required for travel for this project.

**_Educational Requirements_**
- A Bachelor’s degree is required for this project.
