The role
- The ICC Global Policy department is seeking a Global Policy Advisor - Trade & Customs to support ICC's global policy engagement on international trade issues. This role involves a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of policy positions, supporting advocacy efforts, and assisting in ICC’s engagement in key international fora.

The role also involves supporting ICC's work within the ICC Global Trade & Investment Commission and the ICC Global Customs & Trade Facilitation Commissions, which serve as global platforms for businesses to develop and advocate for policies that facilitate global trade and investment and an open global economy at the World Trade Organization (WTO), the World Customs Organization (WCO), and other intergovernmental and regional bodies.

Main Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analysis on trade policy, compiling insights from ICC members to inform ICC’s policy positions.
- Monitor international trade & customs policy discussions, negotiations, and developments.
- Draft materials and communications to keep ICC members informed and engaged.
- Contribute to ICC’s advocacy by drafting talking points, briefing notes, presentations, and other written inputs.
- Support the planning and execution of ICC meetings, workshops, and events, including liaising with participants, preparing materials, and ensuring smooth delivery.
- Support outreach efforts to engage ICC members and external stakeholders.
- Provide clear and concise reporting on activities, progress towards objectives, and outcomes.

Ready to join us?

**Requirements**:

- Hold an advanced university degree in relevant disciplines;
- Have relevant professional experienc(1-2 years), including a good understanding of international sustainability policy issues. Knowledge and experience with international environmental policy negotiation processes and engagement with different stakeholders will be an added benefit;
- Are fluent in English, both orally and in writing. Knowledge of other languages, in particular French, would be an advantage.
- Have excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills;
- Are able to work well under pressure, on several projects at the same time and as part of a small team.
