**ABOUT YOUR ROLE**

Descartes Underwriting is seeking a **Business Operations - Apprentice** to join our Operations Team. You will report to the Senior Operations Executive and you will be a key contributor of the deployment projects. You will be in close and effective cooperation with all business units and play a vital role in the following activities:

- Participation in the operational deployment of a portfolio throughout the global value chain, for both MGA and Insurance Company:

- Policy issuance and entry into the systems;
- Premium invoices collection and credit management;
- Premiums collection monitoring;
- Management and monitoring the claims payments.
- Support on the production of insurance and reinsurance reports and KPIs for the various partners of Descartes:

- Participation to the quarterly Reinsurance bordereaux (Technical and accounting) in cooperation with our Reinsurance & Ops Analyst;
- Operational interactions with various partners of Descartes worldwide (brokers, insurers, clients);
- Improvement of operational processes - you will take an active role to build a strong business operations team by elaborating new processes and KPIs suited to a growing number of customers, risk carriers and geographies in connection with the development of future activities;
- Ensure the data quality through different internal controls.

**ABOUT YOU**

**EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS**
- You are in higher education working towards a Bac +2/3 with a specialization in Insurance;
- Previous experience in the insurance industry is a plus.

**SKILLS**
- Extremely rigorous and methodological;
- High degree of autonomy, drive and energy with good analytical skills;
- Good knowledge of Excel;
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills;
- Fluency in English (written and verbal communication) required;
