R&i Technician

**Job overview and main Responsibilities**:
- Carry out laboratory formulation tests (solvents and additives formulation, surface treatments, coatings, cleaners, etc.) according to established protocols.
- Prepare, implement, and monitor experimental plans under the supervision of engineers.
- Perform physico-chemical analyses (pH, viscosity, spectroscopy, performances test, etc.) and interpret results.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of working methods and process optimization.
- Ensure traceability and repeatability of tests (report writing, data entry).
- Support the smooth operation of the laboratory (stock management, equipment maintenance, ordering consumables).
- Provide technical support to internal teams and occasionally assist with demonstrations or trials at customer sites.
**We’ll count on you for**:
- Ensure the reliability and quality of tests performed within set deadlines.
- Proactively suggest improvements to protocols or help resolve technical issues.
- Communicate clearly and precisely with team members and other departments.
- Actively participate in team life and contribute to collective skill development.
- Support engineers in formulation, testing, and the improvement of innovative solutions in the fields of green solvents and metal surface treatment.
- Ensure the quality of tests, laboratory safety, and contributes to the success of R&D projects and customer satisfaction.
**You’ll bring**:
- Two-year technical degree (BTS/DUT in Chemistry, Chemical engineering, or equivalent).
- Initial laboratory experience (internship or apprenticeship accepted).
- Rigorous, organized, and a strong team player.
- Interest in innovation, safety, and quality.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new protocols.
- Proficiency in office software (Excel, Word); experience with laboratory management software or new AI technology is a plus.
- Basic technical English (reading protocols, basic communication) is mandatory.
Nice to have:
- Experience in industrial chemical formulation or surface treatment.
- Knowledge of chemical safety and waste management.
- Ability to participate in technical demonstrations at customer sites (occasionally).
