Position Duties

Shiro Games are the creators of the tactical RPG Wartales, the 4X Dune : Spice Wars and the multi million seller Northgard. Since 2012, we have created games that personally appeal to us instead of chasing current trends, with small development teams. We work fast, but we never crunch.

We are looking today for a talented 2D Concept Artist. You will join an experienced team and work on our hit Wartales. The Concept Artist will be responsible for creating concept art under the supervision of the art director and game director.

Requirements:

- Collaborate closely with the Art Director to produce quality designs that define and expand the look of the game.
- Create sketch, draw and design art concepts for use by Production Artists to create their game content.
- Create mechanical parts, weapons and buildings, and ensure that concept art is consistent with defined visual style for the game.

Desired Skills:

- A strong and broad portfolio which demonstrates excellent knowledge of design composition and color
- A good understanding of hard surface design
- Experience of concept art in a creative setting
- Ability to quickly iterate concepts given input from the Art Director.
- Experience with 2D software such as Adobe Photoshop, Paint Tool SAI, Procreate or similar at a professional level.
- Intermediate knowledge in 3D modeling and real time engine would be a great addition.
- Autonomy, excellent work ethic and ability to work with deadlines
- Creativity and good communication skills
