At AWS Enterprise Support, we're looking for a Principal Cloud Operations Architect (Pr. COA) to support our largest customers in France. This position will require the ability to travel 15% or more as needed.

As a Principal COA, you will drive technical excellence across the full spectrum of AWS technologies, including Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Compute, Database, Data Analytics, Application-level services, Networking, and Serverless architectures. This is not a sales role, but rather a strategic position where you'll shape the cloud journey of our most sophisticated enterprise customers. As a trusted advisor at the highest technical level, you'll have direct impact in helping customers achieve transformational outcomes through cloud technology.

The Principal COA owns the technical strategy and architectural vision across a portfolio of enterprise customers, creating and maintaining technical frameworks that accelerate cloud adoption and operational excellence. You'll establish architectural patterns, operational best practices, and scalable solutions that address complex enterprise challenges. Working closely with other Principal COAs globally, you'll drive consistency in our technical approach while adapting to specific regional and customer needs.

You'll collaborate across AWS organizations to drive technical alignment and create systematic approaches to common enterprise challenges. By partnering with service teams, solutions architecture, and product management, you'll help shape the evolution of AWS services to better serve enterprise needs. Your deep technical expertise will help identify emerging patterns and opportunities for innovation in enterprise cloud operations.

The role demands excellence in building and scaling cloud operations capabilities, with focus on automated operations, observability, security, and cost optimization. You'll lead the development of technical frameworks, automation solutions, and operational playbooks that enable customers to operate at scale. Through technical mentorship and thought leadership, you'll elevate the capabilities of both customer teams and AWS technical staff.

A passion for education and innovation is essential, as you'll be responsible for creating new operational frameworks, developing efficient methodologies for technical activities, and quantifying business impact of technical decisions. You'll drive the creation of technical content, lead workshops, and speak at industry events to share knowledge and best practices.

You'll work alongside AWS's most senior technical leaders while continuously expanding your expertise across AWS services. The Principal COA role represents the highest level of technical advisory in our Enterprise Support organization in EMEA. Key job responsibilities
1. Develop and maintain the Operational Excellence framework to share existing best practices and innovate for a continuous improvement approach
2. Establish and extend communication mechanisms to communicate with COAs and other relevant industry units within AWS.
3. Share your customers and industries they belong to trends from a business and technological perspective with all TAMs.
4. Lead the organization and execution of your customers and industries they belong to events, encouraging customer networking and better AWS services adoption.
5. Utilize technical skills to investigate highly complex and ambiguous technical challenges and escalations related to your customers and industries they belong to.
6. Mentor and equip the wider team of COAs by building and sharing best-practice knowledge with the wider AWS Field Community.
7. Collaborate across multiple functions within AWS, such as Product Development, Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services Consultants, and Sales Account Managers, to support your customers and industries they belong to.
8. Exhibit Thought Leadership by sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures, and public speaking events.
9. Identify, create and update solutions for the workloads in the industry improving our value add portfolio.
