At Voyage Privé, the digital/tech team is organized in four key domains covering all the critical stakes of our business and working in deep collaboration with all the other departments of the company. Each domain is composed of squads grouping Product, Data, Engineering, Business Representative, in charge of crafting and delivering the domain’s strategy and roadmap.

Transport is one of these four key domains, and as Engineering Manager for the Transport domain, you'll be at the forefront of one of Europe's most ambitious digital initiatives in online travel. You'll lead a team of Software Engineers, working on systems that process millions of transactions daily and shape the travel experiences of countless users worldwide. Your impact will be direct and significant. The solutions you architect and the teams you lead will drive key business metrics, directly influencing our bottom line and our position as a market leader.

You will be responsible for architecting and overseeing the technical aspects of transport systems implementation, integration, optimization, and innovation. This position combines deep technical expertise in the airline and transport sectors with strong leadership and strategic thinking skills.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Business Impact and Strategy**
- Align technical decisions with strategic business objectives, focusing on customer satisfaction and GDS cost optimization.
- Analyze and report on key performance indicators related to booking efficiency and system reliability.
- Prepare and manage engineering department budgets, plan staffing levels, and control costs while maintaining performance.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, manufacturers, and regulators.

**Technical Leadership**
- Lead the development and implementation of transport engineering strategies, focusing on air travel systems and emerging multimodal solutions.
- Oversee the integration of Global Distribution Systems (GDS) and New Distribution Capability (NDC) technologies.
- Drive innovation in flight booking mechanisms, including PNR optimization and fare options.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, industry standards, and relevant codes of practice.

**Project Management**
- Spearhead the PEC (Prise En Charge) Prevention initiative to analyze and reduce financial losses due to booking errors.
- Lead the PNL Cache Optimization project, evaluating GDS performance and optimizing air cache for pre-packaged offers.
- Initiate and oversee preventative maintenance programs to minimize vehicle breakdowns.

**Team Management**
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of transport engineers and technical specialists.
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.
- Monitor staff performance and facilitate learning and development in line with legal and organizational requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Data Science, and Customer Experience.

**Qualifications** Technical Expertise**
- In-depth understanding of airline industry mechanisms, including PNR, search, quote, booking, and post-sell processes.
- Proficiency in NDC integration, fare options, and PNR optimizations.
- Strong knowledge of GDS systems (Amadeus, Travelport, Sabre) and their performance implications.
- Understanding of current and emerging engineering standards, principles, and procedures within the transport industry.

**Strategic Thinking and Analysis**
- Ability to connect technical choices to strategic issues such as customer satisfaction and GDS utilization costs.
- Experience in optimizing look-to-book ratios and understanding their financial implications.
- Skill in analyzing complex data sets related to booking errors and system performance.
