Founded in 2014 by Jerome Jacques Marie Mage, Jacques Marie Mage is a Los Angeles-based producer of limited-edition designer goods specializing in the micro-production of luxury eyewear for a clientele of discerning tastes.
With each new collection, JMM embraces a unique palette of precious materials, rich colors, and striking geometric forms, which cleverly reference and beautifully reconfigure the striking individuals, artistic movements, and world events of previous centuries. **Role Overview**:
Jacques Marie Mage is looking for a hands-on and solution-oriented General Accountant to support our growing operations across France, the UK, and Italy. Based in Paris, this role requires someone who can seamlessly work with different accounting standards (IFRS, French/UK/Italian GAAPS) and collaborate with internal and external parties (US Headquarters and local CPAs).
**Your responsibilities are - but are not limited to**:

Key Responsibilities:_
**General Accounting**:
- Process all financial documents (invoices/POs/expenses/bank statements/account statements)- Enter supplier invoices and bank entries- Preparation of suppliers payments- Bank reconciliations and account matching- Control of expenses (Brex)- Analyze accounts, preparing supplier and customer aging reports- Preparation of monthly closing (all cut-off entries)- Preparation and reconciliation of all Intercompany invoices and operations- Collaboration with local CPA in foreign subsidiaries to ensure accounting is in line with UK, and Italian regulations.- Monitoring of Inventory in collaboration with Logistics- Other tasks related to accounting management
**Tax**:
- Preparation of all periodic tax declarations for France (VAT, CVAE, CIT )- Preliminary work for annual CIT return and Financial Statements preparation
**Controlling**:
- Punctual assistance to the Finance Manager for ad hoc reports/analysis
**Projects**:
- Various projects related to improvement of daily finance & accounting operations and process harmonization across Europe

Key Requirements:_**
- 5+ years of experience in general accounting and tax.- Experience working in the luxury retail or lifestyle brand sector.- Understanding of accounting compliance & accounting standards across France, the UK, and Italy.- Strong organizational and communication skills, with a hands-on mindset.- Fluency in English and French.- Resourceful, proactive, and able to work independently within a matrixed organization.
