Shipping / Logistics Assistant

**Smallwood's Yachtwear** is a crew uniform supplier with offices in Fort Lauderdale, Antibes and Barcelona. Founded in 1981, the company offers quality uniforms to the superyacht industry and is recognized as a leader of yacht uniform suppliers. We are currently recruiting a shipping and logistics assistant for the Antibes office, please see below for an overview of the position.

**Shipping & logistics department**

The Smallwood’s Europe shipping & logistics department ensures that all orders placed in Europe are delivered to the customer with a perfect presentation and in a timely manner. The keys of Smallwood’s success are customer satisfaction and team work. We believe that every step from the sale to the delivery is very important. This means that each department and each team member has to be meticulous and careful in all their tasks.

The shipping and logistics departments handles a large volume of orders on a daily basis. All members of this team must be able to prioritize tasks based on their scheduled completion dates and to react to changes originated from the customer/sales team. Prompt communication (responses to instructions/requests) is also very important. The core team in Antibes is very experienced and any new member will have plenty of teammates to learn from.

**Tasks and responsibilities**

The shipping and logistics assistant operates under the supervision of the Antibes logistics supervisor.

The responsibilities of this position include the following:

- Help with shipping and receiving of all orders on a daily basis.
- Making sure that all orders are shipped complete (nothing forgotten) and they are organized/packed in a presentable manner.
- Making sure that all relevant paperwork (invoices, catalogs etc.) is included.
- Review shipments from vendors in order to report discrepancies.
- Responsible for keeping the stockroom organized.
- Helping with keeping the showroom organized.
- Helping with deliveries/pick-up to customers when necessary.

**Requirements**:

- English: advanced proficiency.
- French: intermediate proficiency.
- Dynamic, meticulous, good organization skills.
- Driving license and personal vehicle.

**Job Type**: 5 month CDD - 25 hours per week
