- **Mission**:
Join Qonto's Data Science team as a Machine Learning Intern and help shape the future of financial modeling in the FinTech industry. Working closely with Gauthier, our experienced team lead, you'll contribute to improving our modeling guidelines and automating time-series forecasting, directly impacting how we manage risk and make data-driven decisions.
** As a Machine Learning Intern at Qonto, you will**:
- **Enhance and develop modeling guidelines** that align with state-of-the-art practices, ensuring clarity and consistency across teams.
- Create a **high-quality Python package** that streamlines our modeling processes, reducing the need for manual adjustments.- Support the model risk manager in **conducting independent model reviews**.
- Contribute to the **continuous improvement of our data science infrastructure and practices**.

**His path**: You will directly report to Gauthier, a seasoned financial risk management professional with over a decade of experience. Gauthier's background spans consulting and Big banks, featuring a pivotal role at Société Générale as a Model Auditor, followed by his current position as a Head of the Quantitative Risk team at Qonto since January 2023. His expertise ensures a comprehensive understanding of risk challenges and innovative solutions.
**What he brings to the team**: Gauthier offers a deep understanding of quantitative risk analysis, and strategic financial risk management, and fosters innovation. His fintech and banking sector experience ensures a comprehensive approach to challenges, making him instrumental in developing sophisticated risk management strategies at Qonto.
**About You**:
**Education**: Pursuing a Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
**Skills**: Strong proficiency in Python and machine learning techniques, particularly in time-series analysis.
**Writing**: Excellent written communication skills with the ability to create clear, neutral-toned reports and documentation.
**Analytical Thinking**: Sharp analytical mind with the ability to tackle complex problems.
**Language**: Fluent in English; French is a plus.**Perks**
