Job Description:
The ESG Sales Specialist will help lead horizontal or enterprise sales efforts for the Paris/Benelux vertical, with business level French fluency being a requirement. ESG Sales resides in a cross-SBU vertical called Enterprise Growth and Partnerships (EGP), which is within FactSet’s Global Sales and Client Solutions (GSCS) division. The role would require knowledge of and selling into various FactSet’s tools such as the Workstation, Portfolio Analytics/Alpha Tester and data feeds/APIs. Account book would be comprised of Banks, Hedge Funds, Institutional Asset Managers, and Asset Owners.
The ESG Sales Specialist is to be based out of France or the Benelux region and will partner with the broader FactSet Account Management Teams to derive and execute a business plan to accelerate deployment of ESG data and solutions across all client workflows, which inherently will drive ASV.
The market for ESG is rapidly accelerating and the growth opportunities are significant. FactSet has developed solutions around company reported ESG data, SFDR, SDG frameworks and has partnered with various third-party ESG providers to sell their solutions within FactSet’s ecosystem. Truvalue Labs data is one of FactSet’s proprietary ESG solutions, is a significantly differentiated product in the market and is at the epicenter of three major trends shaping the investment management industry: the rise of ESG integration, the exponential growth of unstructured data, and major advances in the field of artificial intelligence.
**Responsibilities**:
- Ability to sell to all ESG workflows and across FactSet’s Content Technology Solutions, Research & Advisory, and Analytics & Trading business units
- Lead advanced contract negotiations and draft compelling deal terms
- Consistently offer thought leadership and scalable sales strategies to facilitate lead generation from Account Management
- Channel structured feedback to EGP Sales Leadership, Strategy and PD
- Represent FactSet’s ESG businesses by speaking fluently about all product lines at industry events
- Responsible for maintaining $800k net-new (gross sales) business
- Work with the broader FactSet Account Management Teams to map out perspective clients to target and build a pipeline based on overall ESG strategy
- Responsible for being pro-active to identify unique ESG opportunities to grow the business
- Leverage your client and industry relationships to identify new business needs and sales opportunities
- Diligently maintain the client
- sales cycle and results data that are required to manage the pipeline of sales
- Deliver superb presentations and present winning proposals
- Coordinate trials, negotiate terms, and structure contracts across all client workflows
- Think strategically to price and close deals
- Help uncover new workflows within clients to monetize content
- Utilize and work closely with group resources including Sales Engineering and Support/Implementation
- Provide feedback to Strategists and Product Development to enhance and improve our products
**Qualifications**:
- 5-7 years of sales experience in related financial services field
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (advanced degree preferred)
- Robust finance industry network and demonstrated experience working across various firm types: Buyside, Sellside and Asset Owners. ESG experience is a plus.
- Extensive sales experience with a focus on financial markets, with the ability to consistently exceed individual sales quota
