Security Guard/temple Associate Paris

Ensure the temple and grounds reflect the beauty, cleanliness, peace and sacred nature of the temple experience.
- Maintain standards established by the First Presidency.
- Ensures that the Temple and other buildings and grounds associated with the Temple are in order.
- Is available to respond to events, situations or threats to the beauty, cleanliness, peace and sacred nature of the Temple and its surroundings.
- Ensures doors, windows, and gates are closed.
- Works with the Temple Associate Supervisor to ensure the technical spaces and the machinery such as the Air Handlers, Boilers, Chillers, Plumbing, Electrical etc. are in proper working order, and that there are no gas, water or other leaks or problems. This is a critical function, particularly outside of operating hours (evenings / nights) when the early indication of problems and system failure can go undetected and can affect the operation of the Temple and the Patron experience.
- Observes the contracted security company, and, under the Temple Facilities Manager’s (TFM) or Temple Associate Supervisor’s direction, notifies the contracted security company if the security company’s contractual obligations are not being fulfilled. This responsibility shall be performed without performing security activities.
- Renders appropriate first aid assistance to all persons on Church property when needed. Contacts ambulance, paramedic and fire services in emergency situations both in the day and throughout the evening.
- Assists the TFM, Custodians and Gardeners in their specific tasks during the day and throughout the night as required.
- Assists patrons and those in need of information, directions, or with other problems.
- Works any shift or post as needed.
- Makes out all necessary written reports such as maintenance logs related to assignments and keeps a record noting any unusual technical events.
- Assists in administrative tasks
- Assists and follow the external companies on the site when needed (except for security activities.)
- Basic reading, writing and communications skills in English and high command in French.
- Basic Computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Rotates shifts and assignments while learning essential systems.
- Must be able to lift up to 23 kgs.
- Must be able to pass the First Aid Certification.
- Must be able to work eight hours shifts during the night or day as required.
