**Occupational Health Nurse** **Context** The Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL), situated in Grenoble, France, is Europe's leading research facility for fundamental research using neutrons. Every year, the ILL hosts over 2000 visits by scientists, who come to carry out world-class research. The joint occupational health service "SMTC" (Service de Médecine du Travail en Commun) is shared by three institutions, ESRF, ILL and EMBL. Its main role is to prevent any deterioration in the health of workers on the site as a result of their work. You will work together with another nurse and a medical assistant to ensure the smooth running of the service under the coordination of the occupational physician. **Your tasks** Your main responsibilities will be to: - Provide routine and emergency medical care - Update staff medical records in the occupational health service software - Prepare medical check-ups, perform additional examinations (including toxicological and radio-toxicological examinations) and follow-up medical records - Perform mandatory medical check-ups for new hires (known as "visites d’information et de prévention") - Act as the first point of contact for staff and visitors, provide advice on healthcare matters and perform vaccinations - Manage medical equipment supplies and stocks of medicines - Schedule regular medical check-ups for staff - Record occupational accidents and incidents in the SMTC register - Put in place risk prevention measures and raise awareness of occupational hazards - Carry out workstation assessments - Take part in meetings of the CSSCT (Workplace Health and Safety Commission) and other committees - Provide statistical data for statutory documents. **Your profile** - You have a French "Diplôme d’Etat d’Infirmier ière" (DEI) (or equivalent diploma) allowing you to work as a nurse in France. You have at least five years' experience, preferably in a hospital environment (accident and emergency, intensive care, etc.) - You hold a French "Diplôme d’Infirmier-ière en Santé au Travail“ (DIUST) (specialist qualification in occupational health) or are prepared to undertake this qualification. - If you are not already a workplace first-aid trainer, the ILL will help you complete this training. - You have sound knowledge in the area of occupational health and ensure that you keep your skills up to date through continuous professional development (CPD). - You are able to manage emergencies, prioritise tasks and report effectively. - You are familiar with the risks associated with working under ionising radiation. - You have an excellent command of spoken and written French and English. Knowledge of German would be an advantage.
