Accountant

Deepocean Africa is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Finance team based in Sète, France. In this role, you will directly report to the Finance Manager. You will support day-to day finance operations and contribute to accurate financial reporting.
KEY TASKS
Process and verify vendor invoices and expense reports.
Manage bank transactions and perform reconciliations.
Support monthly and annual financial closings.
Prepare UK payroll and generate payslips.
Provide data for VAT returns and liaising with external accountants.
Assist with financial analysis and general administrative duties.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in accounting is essential
Diplôme de comptabilité et de Gestion (DCG) is desirable
Proven experience in accounting, including accounts payable, expense management and bank reconciliations
Familiarity with VAT rules and and tax compliance is a plus.
Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
Strong attention to detail, organizational & communication skills.
Fluent in French and English
