**Job description**:
Reporting to the Innovation Process Engineer, your role will be to identify new manufacturing processes for lithium batteries, to develop and industrialize new processes up to TRL6 (industrial prototype).

**_ As an Innovation Process Engineer you should be familiar with the following tasks :_**
- To design and develop innovative electrode manufacturing processes, including solvent free process for SSB.
- To define equipment/process specifications to manufacture new electrode generations.
- To organize and run equipment test for electrode manufacturing, in order to validate the innovative process on scale 1 parts.
- To demonstrate the process economic added value at a Gigafactory scale and to assist the industrialization teams to implement it.
- To create and develop a network including suppliers, academic institutions and laboratories in order to help running full scale trials.
- To scout new technologies/equipment proposed by competitors and equipment suppliers.
- To carry out a technological survey dealing with the Lithium ion battery processes and related fields that can be extrapolated to batteries manufacturing.

**Profile**:
**_ Know How_**
- Expertise in mixing (batch/continuous) and calendaring
- Experience in electrode manufacturing for SSB
- Experience in deposition processes on films and foils
- Product & Process approach
- Skills on on-line measurement, equipment design, Process development methodology (PFMEA, Functional analysis)

**_ Experience_**

10 years in a process innovation position in industry (battery/electrode manufacturing, packaging, coil coating processing, )

**_ Qualification_**

Master/ Engineer type in Chemical engineering/Chemical processing/Plastic industry

**_ Key behaviours_**

Accountability, innovative spirit, high energy, team player

**_ Some extra skills which could make a difference_**
- An experience in the battery industry is a strong plus
- An experience for an equipment supplier will also be considered (calendering machine, extrusion, lamination).
