Manager, Project Finance

Status: Exempt (salaried)

Position Summary

Core

**Responsibilities**:

- Develops and maintains a detailed understanding of Plug Power’s customer solutions and related contractual structures
- Analyzes contractual relationships with vendors, providing recommendations on deal structuring improvements to be considered, and facilitating effective evaluations
- Establish appropriate internal controls and project governance
- Builds and maintains highly effective cross-functional relationships to ensure effective communication and value-added working relationships
- Monitor and control project scope, schedule, budget and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
- Full project P&L responsibility and cash flow performance
- Drive project financial transparency: sales controlling, performance measurement, planning, forecasting, reporting, revenue recognition, cost analysis, reconciliation and deviation analysis
- Ensure proactive risk/opportunities assessment/management
- Perform month end closing process activities
- Lends expertise and support to business development activities by analyzing current financial data and modeling forward-looking financial metrics; provides strategic recommendations based upon this financial due diligence process
- Prepares and provides ad hoc reporting analysis requested by executive management and department leaders as needed to support the business
- Represent Plug Power in a professional manner at all times and in all interactions
- Perform all other duties as assigned

Education and Experience
- BS degree in Accounting/Finance; MBA and/or relevant certification (CPA, CFA, CMA) is highly preferred
- Eight (8) or more years of related work experience, preferably within the energy industry
- Experience in commercial finance within a publicly traded company is vastly preferred
- Proven track record of helping to drive strategic direction through financial analysis
- Dynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to translate complex financial metrics to diverse audiences and stakeholders
- Uncompromising dedication to customer service excellence
- Demonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detail
- Superior communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software
- Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task effectively
- Ability to role model high standards of professionalism
- Excellent follow-through
- Must be driven and self-motivated
- Must possess the highest ethical standards and a commitment to work quality
