**Your responsibilities**:

- Lead an independent scientific research project in miniaturized synthetic chemistry, exploring suitable reactions and their use in automated synthesis
- Design and execute multi-step organic syntheses tailored to miniaturized chemistry, emphasizing innovative bioactive Small Molecules in the frame of our CropKey Strategy
- Develop, implement, and conduct syntheses in a safe, time
- and resource-efficient manner, and design necessary systems for miniaturized laboratory-scale methodologies
- Provide target molecules in high purity for biological screening
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of research results in lab journals and reports
- Broadly collaborate and work in cross functional teams, at the interface with biochemistry, analytics, biology and data science discplines in Crop Science

**Your profile**
- PhD in Organic Chemistry or related field
- Strong knowledge of theoretical and practical organic chemistry, including synthesis, purification, and analysis
- Curiosity and openness to acquire additional skills in new technologies and miniaturized chemistry
- Motivation and capability to work with digital tools and to drive digital transformation
- Good command of English
- Working competences in interdisciplinary and international teams
- Team-player with excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong emphasis on safety in the laboratory
