**Basic Function**:
We are currently looking for a **Communications Advisor for France**, located at the LyondellBasell Sites of Berre l’Etang and Fos-sur-Mer (13) in France.

Under the supervision of the Manager, Europe Communications and in constant relations with the French Site Managers the primary purpose of the position is to lead the External Affairs for France with the following priorities:

- Act as the first level interface between French sites, in particular the Berre and the Fos sites, and external stakeholders such as media, local authorities, communities and environmental associations.
- Develop and maintain up-to-date the Crisis Management Communications plan for French sites, train the emergency response team on crisis communications and lead the local crisis communications team during any technical incidents, social events or environmental issues impacting French sites.
- Advise on internal communications at the French sites.
- Generally, preserve and enhance the reputation of the company in France.

**Responsibilities & Accountabilities**:
Develop, propose and execute an annual strategic communications plan.

Develop and execute communication and public relations plans and tools.

Organize media training and crisis management exercises.

Help develop a crisis communications.

Monitor and liaise with media and handle requests.

Maintain and enhance relations with appropriate neighboring communities and groups.

Advise on specific core projects.

Provide support for visits and outreach to national or European elected officials or senior authorities.

Lead and coordinate response to request received from local/national authorities or elected officials, in liaison with site leadership.

**Min. Qualifications**:
Experience required
- Bachelor degree in public relations, communications or other relevant field.
- Proven, 5-year + experience in a similar communication function.
- Experience in copywriting and editing, in French and English.
- Working knowledge of usual business software (MS Office); photo and video-editing skills would be an asset.
- Experience in an international company is a plus.
- Flexibility in daily hours and frequency of travels are also key characteristic of the job.
