Reporting to the Director of Procurement, the **Senior Purchasing Associate **at BioLabs Paris, is responsible for verifying, preparing, and purchasing all lab supplies and equipment for the company and its residents. As a key member of our Marketplace team, you are willing to do what it takes to get the job done in a busy and challenging scientific environment. This is a hands-on, senior-level position. We seek a competent, self-directed individual who employs a high level of autonomy in their work.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Place, monitor, and expedite high volumes of orders daily while offering exceptional customer service.
- Clarify unclear items and recommend alternatives if appropriate.
- Work with Lab Managers to verify all items requested are on the approved chemical and supply list.
- Collaborate with the Finance team to secure appropriate purchase orders, process payments, and ensure audit compliance documentation is in place.
- Support existing Procurement team with finding and securing vendor discounts for our lab supplies.
- Respond to requests for order confirmations and tracking.
- Resolve shipments in error with suppliers and arrange returns.
- Keep information accessible by sorting and filing all documents.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of three (3) years experience in purchasing and receiving.
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field.
- Knowledge of the Biotech industry and market conditions strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of customer service ticketing systems.
- Outstanding organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and/or projects.
- Customer service focused, with an excellent work ethic and an optimistic attitude.
- Detail-oriented with specific attention to quality control and getting things right.
- Personable and articulate, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Desire to be part of a team-focused environment.
