Our client, a leading GCC-based pension fund, is seeking an experienced investment professional to join their private markets team as an
Associate
or
Senior Associate

In this role, you will be part of the
fund allocation team
, with a primary focus on
private equity fund investments
, including an
unconstrained global mandate
that spans sectors, strategies, and geographies. While the emphasis is on primary fund commitments, the role may also involve co-investments and other illiquid strategies

The ideal candidate will bring experience in
indirect private equity or private credit
, with a strong understanding of
illiquid investments
,
asset allocation
, and
manager selection

Responsibilities:

  • Support the evaluation and selection of private equity and private credit fund managers, including fund commitments and co-investment opportunities
  • Assist in developing and implementing portfolio allocation strategies across private market asset classes, aligned with the fund's long-term investment objectives
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of fund managers, including due diligence, benchmarking, track record assessment, and investment memo preparation
  • Prepare regular and ad-hoc portfolio reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders, senior management, and the investment committee
  • Collaborate with internal teams (legal, operations, risk, and finance) to support investment execution, documentation, and compliance processes
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills and internal tools to support data analysis, performance attribution, and scenario modelling
  • Stay informed on global private market trends, macroeconomic developments, and regional regulatory updates relevant to long-term institutional investing

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience and a solid understanding of Private Equity and Private Credit strategies, with a primary focus on fund investments, including primaries, secondaries and co-investments
  • Experience or demonstrated interest in evaluating these asset classes from an asset allocation perspective, supporting the broader portfolio construction and manager selection process
  • Active involvement in portfolio management activities, including the execution of investment and corporate data
  • Ability to synthesize manager updates, financial statements, and performance metrics to support senior team members in decision-making and client reporting
  • Strong analytical mindset with advanced Excel skills (e.g., financial modelling, data aggregation, scenario analysis)
  • Comfortable working with large data sets and leveraging technology platforms (e.g., portfolio management systems, data visualization tools)
