The Nestlé R&D Center located in the Loire Valley in Tours (France), is part of the Nestlé Institute of Agricultural Sciences within the Nestlé Research Organization whose main center is in Lausanne, Switzerland. Nestlé Research combines fundamental science at the highest level, high-end analytical platforms leveraged by all research teams, and strong capabilities to accelerate the translation of science into innovation. The Plant Science team builds knowledge on strategic crops with the aim of developing new plant materials to deliver quality products through better and sustainable farming.

- 2 years of R&D or/and operations/factory experience
- Minimum 2 - 3 years of R&D or/and operations/factory experience

Plan, organize and perform a broad range of research and/or development activities to support the innovation and renovation of products/packages/systems from inception through all stages of development in response to business needs.

Ensure alignment with business partners and our internal gate process to manage project timelines and risk assessments.

Support packaging equipment performance improvement projects in Purina factories, using problem-solving methods to identify issues and providing engineering solutions to improve performance.

In the accomplishment of these duties, the incumbent must utilize a high level of advanced and specialized knowledge to create differentiating technology while using professional judgement with mínimal supervision.

**A day in the life of “Equipment Packaging specialist”**
- **
Innovation / Renovation pipeline**:
Scout new ideas/projects/methods/developments in packaging equipment.
- Plan, organize and perform the necessary trials and experiments as required to deliver the packaging development projects that meet the requirements of the business and are delivered in a timely manner.
- Provide packaging equipment technical input and assistance within the Center and externally (e.g., with Manufacturing, vendors) as required on a wide variety of projects.
- Participate and contribute as a member of cross-functional teams as assigned. Interface on project implementation teams by assisting with hand-off from development through start-up and providing operational training as required.
- **
Project Management**:
Function as a project leader as assigned. Required activities include, but are not limited to:

- Providing effective project leadership for the projects assigned from concept phase through FAT, factory installation and startup within timelines and project costs.
- Fulfilling all requirements of the StageGate/Product Development Process and Nestec regarding “absolute” deliverables for each phase
- Complete all required documentation and project reporting in a timely manner.
- Adherence to Company policy on protection of patent rights and intellectual property
- Ensuring all appropriate documents and project records are filed in the Central Project Files, whether paper or electronic
- Effectively communicate results through oral presentations and timely, written technical documentation and reports
- Conduct all activity in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and all required Company policies and procedures Travel as necessary Practice safety in the work area

Technical assistance**:

- Provide support to operations with effective (quality, cost and on-time) and sustainable solutions.
- Give operational support to customers, assistance in industrialization start-ups, follow-up product launches, including technical improvements.
