Solid skills in machine learning methodologies
A mastery of a deep learning python framework and ideally a distributed learning framework (eg PySyft, Federated Tenseorflow,)
Solid knowledge of applied mathematics.
Good knowledge of telecommunications networks.
Knowledge of the basics of new 5G/6G networks.
Strong taste for research and innovation, curiosity and creativity.
Autonomous and likes to work in a team.

**Required training (master, engineering degree, doctorate, scientific and technical field, etc.)**

Last year of engineering school, or master, with a specialization in Data science/Machine Learning.

**Desired experience (internships,)**

Having experience in the world of research (R&D internship) oriented Machine Learning and Mathematics will be an asset for the position.

**Additional information**:
This thesis will allow the PhD student to discover and work on an innovative research field, which is that of connected vehicles. The thesis will be carried out within the framework of a project and will contribute to the development of solutions that are in line with Orange's strategy of intelligent, optimized and environmentally friendly solutions. Real data will be used in the framework of the thesis and the future PhD student will be able to rely on the work already done and in progress, internally, on connected vehicles and also on the expertise of the team's data scientists. The future PhD student will also work with other Orange teams for the deployment and evaluation of solutions that will be proposed on internal platforms. He/she will also have the opportunity to contribute to research projects with external partners from the academic and industrial environment.
