ROLE PURPOSE
As a true business partner to both the commercial heads of France & Germany and the Head of Finance EMEA, the FM of France & Germany will assess organizational performance against best practice benchmarks, develop the annual budget and forecasts and the long-term strategy. In liaison with the Head of Finance EMEA (and the broader International / Group finance initiatives) develop tools and systems to provide critical financial visibility to the respective management teams and make actionable recommendations. Utilizes the International Shared Services team to ensure that all accounting activities related to the specific market(s) responsibility, including tax and treasury, comply with all regulations. Plays an active role in the Shared Services governance process to ensure success.

Strategic Role Responsibilities
- Understand best in class Finance processes and be a proactive supporter of change towards best practice standards.
- Assist commercial management in the integration of market dynamics, customer needs, competitive strengths, and weaknesses into a sound strategic plan. Ensuring the financial output reflects the key dynamics and timelines.

Operational Role Responsibilities
- Support the commercial operations and finance with business decision support.
- Effectiveness/Efficiency improvements:

- Work closely with [International HQ and Corporate] to implement a reliable cash flow projection process - drive improvements in the accuracy of the cash flow forecast.
- Oversee the budgeting and forecasting processes and the implementation of budgets / forecasts to monitor progress and present financial metrics.
- Identify any performance issues and in liaison with local management present and implement plans for remedial action.
- Oversee correct management of local market accounts, ledgers and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with appropriate regulatory requirements.
- Reviews and approves transactions processed by the shared services team. Establishes judgmental provisions as part of the close process.
- Ensures that the appropriate controls are operational, and that the supporting documentation exists. Provides input to external audit activities as required.
- Inputs into Tax and Treasury operations and governance as required.
- Display willingness to take on new responsibilities and assist in ad-hoc projects as required.
- Monitor and ensure both compliance with and documentation of compliance with Cynosure’s policies and procedures as outlined in various Company policies, including the Global Approval Authority Matrix and other relevant mandatory policies.
