This first-ever Policy & Communications role at Upway is a unique opportunity to build and shape the function from the ground up. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a pivotal role in defining Upway’s public narrative and influence.

From influencing policy that drives sustainable mobility solutions to building narratives that inspire customers, communities, and policymakers, this role is foundational to our mission.

**What you will do**:
As the Policy & Communications Manager, your work will drive the narrative that defines Upway’s role in advancing sustainable transportation.

Based in Paris, you’ll shape and execute our communications and policy strategies that resonate with key stakeholders, from media, customers, policymakers, partners, and communities.
- **Lead the creation of an ambitious communications strategy** to elevate Upway’s public profile and ensure our voice is heard in key conversations about the future of mobility.
- **Shape policy discussions** by collaborating with industry stakeholders, regulators, and policymakers to advocate for sustainable mobility solutions.
- **Build and amplify Upway’s reputation** through proactive PR campaigns and corporate narratives that inspire trust and spark action across key audiences.
- Act as a **trusted advisor to the leadership team,** ensuring alignment between business objectives and communication strategies.
- **Collaborate cross-functionally** to design and deliver initiatives that build brand trust, expand visibility, and reinforce Upway’s leadership in the electric bike ecosystem.

**What you will bring**:

- 5+ years of experience in PR, corporate communications, and public affairs, ideally within mission-driven organizations or fast-paced startups.
- Exceptional PR expertise, with a proven track record of designing and executing campaigns that deliver high-impact results across media, corporate, and policy arenas.
- Deep understanding of public policy and regulatory landscapes, particularly in sustainability, mobility, or e-mobility sectors.
- A strategic storytelling mindset, capable of crafting narratives that inspire stakeholders, from customers to policymakers and partners.
- An existing network of key media contacts and policymakers and the ability to cultivate new relationships to amplify Upway’s mission.
- Strong experience in managing cross-functional teams and driving collaboration to execute impactful campaigns and policy initiatives.
- A forward-thinking approach to identifying trends, solving challenges, and seizing opportunities to position Upway as a global leader.
- Fluent in English and French, with exceptional communication skills. Additional languages are a plus.
- A passion for sustainability and a personal commitment to making a tangible impact in the world of mobility.
