Electrical Engineer, Catering Systems

As Electrical Engineer, in our Catering Systems division, you will hold the following key responsibilities:
- Oversee electrical systems related to refrigeration machinery and GEM/ICM in the Catering division.
- Lead the electrical design of multiple projects concurrently.
- Organize, coordinate, and optimize the efforts of internal and external design project teams (customers/suppliers/subcontractors).
- Prepare technical specifications and scope of supply for Electrical systems in collaboration with automation engineers, ensuring compliance with customer specifications.
- Provide technical support to internal stakeholders throughout the contract lifespan and guarantee matters.
- Generate cost estimates for Electrical systems, including electrical cabinets, control cabinets, transformers, junction boxes, frequency drives, etc.
- Develop engineering schedules for the electrical design phase.
- Make technical decisions/solutions to ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Submit finalized and verified documents to the customer, including interconnecting diagrams, wiring diagrams, cable lists, power consumption estimates, weight estimates, and cabinet arrangements.
- Ensure design documentation (drawings/specs/material lists/manuals) meets project requirements, ALMACO’s standards, and internal needs, and is consistently updated.
Additionally, you will also hold the following specific responsibilities:
- Conduct factory inspections and quality control for materials and products.
- Report design progress, non-conformities, and customer feedback.
- Participate in the development of new products and innovations.
- Actively contribute to continuous improvements in processes, working methods, and ideas for product development and standardization
- Organize regular technical project design reviews.
- Provide technical support to subcontractors/third parties during plant erection/commissioning and electrical connection of units, cabinets, transformers, air coolers, etc.
- Attend technical meetings with Yard, Owner, Class, and provide technical support to Sales & Project teams.
To be successful in this position, you will need to have:
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Electrical Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience and technical awareness in automation, refrigeration, heat pumps, and cooling systems.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple ongoing tasks.
- Autonomy, teamwork, interpersonal relations, and strong communication skills.
- Open-minded, self-starter, capable of taking initiative in a fast-moving international environment.
- Commitment to quality.
- Proficient in MS Office, Excel, AutoCAD, Teams.
