Quality Excellence Manager Packaging

Based in Nantes and reporting to the Regional Quality Director, the Quality Excellence Manager Packaging will work closely with the Operation Directors, R&D, Process, assisting Plant Quality Managers to achieve their Quality KPI’s. QMBU’s may also lead specific quality initiatives or projects relating to quality & opportunity cost within their plant scope.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Indirectly (dotted-line) leading a team of Plant Quality Managers at various manufacturing locations (France, Germany, Switzerland and UK) for positive business results, implementing and executing on region and site quality tactical plans, overseeing quality & continuous Improvement projects, and ensuring our products adhere to quality standards,
- Function to ensure appropriate resources, driving accountability for ARCs at the sites, leveraging best practices across the sites,
- Drive compliance and assist in updating QUEST standards focused on Technical or Business processes (100, 200, 800 series).
- Lead Business Unit Summary Reporting and Quality reviews (QRB/BMS) relating to Packaging Business
- Champion the standardization of the Test Methods
- Lead and or participate in complex divisional quality investigations to determine root cause that are customer and/or technical facing. Will step up and lead investigations that are borderline of ownership when needed.
- Contributor on providing Quality data to the customer along with clearly articulating RCCA and analysis
- Develop Technical or Customer facing standard operating procedures and provide training to site personnel to ensure procedures are followed.
- Work closely with the Business Managers to support necessary quality practices and procedures directly affecting the customers.
- Lead or actively participates in Customer and Technical facing Regional and Divisional quality and continuous improvement efforts.
- Lead and participate of internal audit (Including R&D)
- Support to prepare the EMEAI Packaging Monthly meeting bringing all reports and data together.
- Maintain the Regional BMS / QRB ScoreCards for accuracy and consistency for Packaging BU.
- Provide training on Systems and quality programs as needed
- Work to improve Quality Control plans and test methods developing a standardization program.
- Support Quality System roll out and the regional ISO 9001 Certification program.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Fluent in French and English,
- Effective leader and trainer in cross-functional project teams,
- Able to communicate with all management levels within the organization,
- Fundamental knowledge of ISO Process Approach, Plan Do Check Act thinker
- Must be able to effectively train and coach employees at all levels of the organization
- Degree in Chemistry or Engineering,
- 10 years of experience in Operations, Quality or Technical
- Able to work with an international team to drive improvement
- Program knowledge of Business Objects
- System knowledge of Watson, MES, Product Vision, Discovery, and MES
- Previous international business travel experience
- Six Sigma Green Belt

**TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS**:
Some travels to other locations, meetings and/or seminars is required: 20%-40% of the time
