As a **Biopharma Production Specialist (M/F/x)** at Avantor, you will be responsible for generating growth opportunities in Belgium and France with our existing and new customers.

The role of the Biopharma Production Specialist (BPS) is to create sustainable and profitable partnerships with customers in the biopharmaceutical industry. The BPS is responsible for sales to customers in the assigned territory. A focus on positioning the BU as the primary supplier to biopharmaceutical customers engaged in mammalian and microbial-based manufacture, Vaccines, Cell & Gene Therapy, and Peptides. The BPS has a good understanding of the market, understands the needs/challenges of our customers, and use our company portfolio of Biopharma products and services to deliver meaningful solutions.

It's imperative that you are a 'go-getter' who values the return on investment gained by developing key stakeholder relationships - driving for increased profitability of our BioPharma business.

**What we’re looking for**:

- BSc/BA degree in Chemistry, Life Sciences, Chemical/Genetic Engineering degree or other life sciences related degree
- At least 5 years sales experience within the biopharmaceutical manufacturing or related life sciences industry
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets
- Ability to recognize need for change and employ appropriate strategies to facilitate change
- Ability to be flexible in fast-changing environment and to work well under pressure
- Self-motivated team player and able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
- Full Driver’s License
- French and English business fluent
- Ability to travel regularly in the EU.

- Raise regional awareness by promoting the Avantor value proposition as a manufacturer and supplier of Chemicals, Serum, and Single-Use products & services, to support the manufacturing processes of various biologic-related product classes
- Work closely with the different Field Applications teams to engage customers in value added programs and technical projects
- Build and sustain long lasting business relationships with customers to ensure brand loyalty
- Execute company strategies to achieve sales growth in the EU region
- Champion internal alignment with internal stakeholders to ensure key customer opportunities are being managed and executed in an efficient manner
- Identify and lead the development or refinement of new custom manufacturing opportunities
