Data Assets Manager

**YOUR ROLE**:
As a Data Assets Manager in the Assets & Operations division at CMA CGM, you will be the central point of contact for all data-related initiatives. You will be responsible for the management and governance of data, working closely with business units and the Group CDO. Your role will be pivotal in centralizing, optimizing, and governing data to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and accelerate project time-to-market. Additionally, you will coordinate the interface with a dedicated BI team, and your mission will involve educating and raising awareness among Assets teams on the value and utilization of data, leveraging all available resources from the 17 departments.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
**1. Data Governance (50%)**:

- Establish a community with all data governance stakeholders (17 Assets departments, CDO, and business Lines)
- Implement and maintain a centralized data governance to ensure consistency and integrity of existing data across Assets departments, orchestrated with counterparts from Lines and Data Gov directions.
- Ensure Assets data (with a focus on strategic project portfolios) are well-documented (definition, R&R, etc.), have the right level of quality & compliance for consumers, following group Data Governance standards.
- Develop and maintain a data governance charter, including roles and responsibilities of data producers and consumers.
- Ensure compliance with current regulations regarding data protection and confidentiality.
- Document identified data sources, current data readiness, and pain points.
- Maintain and update the data catalog along with initiatives.
- Train and raise internal teams on good data management and governance practices.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to data initiatives. Report progress and the impact of data strategy to the company’s transformation team and other stakeholders.

**2. Project Support (40%)**:

- Work with teams from different departments to understand their data needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Identify current and upcoming initiatives related to data products and propose enhancements to optimize data management processes.
- Ensure data quality and availability by conducting regular checks and implementing data cleaning and validation processes.
- Stay informed on data technologies and emerging trends. Drive adoption of innovative data and AI tools to enhance data capabilities.

**3. BI Needs Coordination (10%)**:

- Supervise and coordinate a team of six in charge of Business Intelligence for the Assets department.
- Ensure consistency and effectiveness of BI initiatives in alignment with organization goals.
- Plan and prioritize BI projects based on business needs and strategic priorities.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Management, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in a senior data management role, preferably as a CDO or similar.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in data management and visualization tools (Qlik etc.), strong understanding of data governance, data management, and data analytics.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to guide teams and facilitate cross-collaboration, direct and indirect leadership, ability to mobilize colleagues and peers, organizational skills, change facilitation, and project management.
- Languages: Fluency in French and English.
