Within the TECHNIP Energies universe, the Lyon centre is referenced as the group's centre of expertise in the field of Polyolefins. **About the job**:
Technip Energies Lyon is looking for a Junior Cost Control Engineer to work on major projects in France and abroad.
- The preparation of the budget breakdown of the project cost,
- Monitoring commitments against this budget,
- Monitoring Technip Energies' own expenses (mainly service hours)
- Establishing the amounts to be invoiced in collaboration with the accounting department and monitoring their collection
- Periodically determining the expected final cost (Forecast),
- Analysis of variances, proposals for corrective action, and preparation of change orders,
- Issuing financial reports to the general management
- Issuance of end of business reports in order to provide usable feedback to the estimation department

You will also be responsible for establishing price sheets for Technip Energies services, in liaison with the Sales Manager,

You will also be able to move into project capital cost estimating (CAPEX) either on behalf of clients in the upstream study phases (feasibility/pre-projects) or for Technip Energies in the context of turnkey proposals.

**About you**:
You have a general engineering background, chemical engineering (with a taste for finance) or financial engineering (with a taste for technology), and 0 to 3 years experience in Cost Control or Estimation in the petrochemical, chemical/pharmaceutical or industrial fields. Previous experience in an engineering company is a plus. A dual technical and financial background is also a plus

You are a strong team player with a performance & results orientation, you are structured and organised.
You are communicative and reactive, proactive and have real adaptability skills.

The position is based in Lyon but you must be mobile for short-term assignments

English is essential.
