The R&D & GMA Procurement Business Partner aims at providing procurement expertise to drive efficient and effective Strategic Sourcing and Procurement initiatives to Global Research & Development and Global Medical Affairs teams in support of the different Therapeutic Areas (Neurosciences, Oncology and Rare Diseases) and other central and site functions.
The role will interact with many internal business stakeholders and service providers to plan, define and execute the different needs with respect to R&D & GMA projects and associated services as well as Corporate Services projects.
The role will also collaborate with the rest of the Global Procurement Organization (Global Category Leaders, Procurement Business Partners and the Procurement Center of Excellence) to ensure dialogue and local business requirements are well captured and ensure category strategies are appropriately implemented across the organization.
**Your Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to)**:
**Supplier Management**:
- Develop, maintain, and monitor project documentation from Sourcing to Exit,
- Coordinate providers’ performance assessment, vendor oversight and provides support to Supplier Relationship Management,
- Develop, maintain, and monitor project documentation from Sourcing to Exit,
- Provide leadership and methodology to integrate IPSEN requirements (technical, legal, financial, Compliance,) throughout the relationship with vendors on the Source - Engage - Maintain - Exit lifecycle.
**Performance Management**:
- Formally report the activity progress to the Head of R&D Procurement Business Partner via regular formal meetings, informal communications, and Procurement reporting systems as required,
- Deploy 7-step strategic sourcing process to optimize Ipsen Third-party spend, drive supplier performance and minimize risks,
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and lead negotiation efforts to obtain best value prices, terms, and optimized lead-times for services and goods.
**Business Partnering**:
- Analyze spend and budget to identify Procurement opportunities with business stakeholders
- Attend Budget Holder meetings and support Budget Holders with their budget requirements/spend status,
- Work in close collaboration with business stakeholders to get a clear understanding of future business needs, to determine the appropriate Procurement strategy, to source vendors, and to ensure the consistency between the technical specifications, vendor proposals, and contractual documents,
- Attend R&D & GMA projects meeting and support operational team with update of the procurement activities,
- Implement the procurement process according to the global procurement policy and procurement best practice.
**Global Procurement**:
- Work closely with Global R&D and other Global procurement colleagues to align on best practices, define procurement opportunities and enhance processes and procedures,
- Ensure local business needs are being addressed into Global category strategies,
- Within the Global Procurement Organization, share best practices and contribute to driving a culture of teamwork and project management good practices.
**In return you will bring**:
- At least 5 years of procurement experience
- Knowledge of Pharmaceutical industry preferred
- Experience dealing with various Service Providers on R&D spend categories
- Ability to develop accurate and timely reports, presentations, and metrics
- Effective and proven negotiating skills
